This is how I feel everytime I read Marmaduke.

It’s quarter to five (well, quarter to four, really) and I’m wide awake. Watching the goddamn Man Show.
I knew I shouldn’t have drunk that much coffee.
If you’re real nice, maybe I’ll show you the wicked mask I got for the party I just got back from.
You know those really lame Halloween costumes they sell in department stores? The ones with the cheap masks and plastic bibs?
They let kids dress up like some strange version of, say, He-Man who has a picture of himself and the Masters of the Universe logo on his chest.
But at least going out as He-man for Halloween makes some sense. These costumes do not.

One of the many reasons colour daily comics just suck.
And what do you do when, two days later, Microsoft Word recovers your lost document for you?
Stare blankly at the screen for a moment, in disbelief at your extraordinary luck? Uh huh.
Go and tell your editor that you might be able to get that anthrax backgrounder up after all? Oh, sure.
Dance around the news room a little, singing Cake’s version of “I Will Survive”? Awww, yeah.
What can you do when an afternoon’s work is vapourized in a Microsoft Word crash?
Curse software that can’t handle “drag-and-drop-text” without crashing? Of course.
Curse yourself for not saving your work every 10 minutes? Oh, yeah. (Even though the bloody auto-save was turned on!)
Bury your face in your hands, ponder the fruitlessness of your existance and nearly break down crying in the corner of the news room? Sure, why not?
Me? I’m gonna go home (after doing my thing at Quirks) and watch Say Anything.
Don’t know why I didn’t see this when it first came out. Must have been my blindness that summer to anything that wasn’t Batman.
Hmmm… I haven’t blogged in a while.
Here’s the last article I wrote for the science section.
And I got my cam going again.
