I’ve a bit of catching
Thursday, March 28th, 2002I’ve a bit of catching up to do, it seems.
I went curling on Friday with some folks from work, and it’s a lot harder than it looks on TV. It looks like a two-dimensional game, but I figure it has four or five going on at once. It’s also no more or less riduclous than dressing up in a kilt one weekend a month to play make-believe.
I completely ignored the Oscars on Sunday. I had thought that Salon had summed up the event perfectly, until I heard Letterman’s take on it: “It’s just rich people giving each other awards.”
For the past three days, there’s been a CBC New Media conference going on. There was a usability expert here on Tuesday talking about all the problems with Flash, and there was much consternation amoung the Arts Canada/Radio 3 crowd about it. That is, until they decided they were special and unique and usability requirements don’t apply to them.
