Last Sunday, after the Pride
Monday, July 8th, 2002Last Sunday, after the Pride parade, I went for sushi at a Japanese/Korean restaurant on Bloor. I’ve been there quite a few times for raw fishy goodness.
I ordered the “Sushi Matsu,” a combination of eight pieces of sushi and six tuna rolls, and an order of squid sushi.
After eating my many yummy appetizers, I received my sushi: a great big boat with at least a dozen pieces of sushi, six tuna rolls, two big hand rolls, plus my squid.
When I told my waitress this wasn’t what I ordered, she said it must be my lucky day.
I looked up at the sushi chef. He smiled and bowed at me, looking at my shirt.
“Shupaman,” he said.
I just happened to be wearing a blue t-shirt with a big Superman logo on it.
I guess he’s a fan.
