I have a pretty sweet
Wednesday, July 30th, 2003I have a pretty sweet gig today. I get the watch the live feed from the SARS benefit concert – the same video that’s shown on the big screens at the concert itself – and update the story on the site.

Hey, you two shouldn’t hold hands like that. People might think you’re lesbians.
Oh my God! You can see her nipples!
This music sucks. Let’s go listen to my TaTu CD.

Hey hey! I’ve got the top story on Google News Canada!
At least, for now.
*kicks the CBC Headlines to get them to update*

“Explosion in Moscow… bla bla bla… yeah, yeah.
“Election in Nova Scotia. OK… sure, sure…. whatever.
“WHO declares victory over SARS. *yawn*
“Ohhh… Barry White’s dead. That’s sad. Huhn. I didn’t know his band was called Love –
“WHAT?!!! Barry White was NOT the voice of Chef of South Park!”
Actually, that last part wasn’t so much my thought process as what I yelled out loud in the (thankfully, mostly empty) CBC news room.
Needless to say, I quickly shot off a note to the Newscentre to let them know that Isaac Hayes does the voice of Chef.
