I’d change, but I’m out of mana

I was reading this article on procrastination today, when I was supposed to be doing work. Har har.

Anyway, this line struck me as weird:

Procrastinators can change their behavior—but doing so consumes a lot of psychic energy.

It seems like the sentence starts like an article from Psychology Today and ends like a bit of copy from an RPG instruction manual.

I read this article the other day, and I thought the same thing. When I read that sentence, I pictured a procrastinator sitting with a deep look of concentration on his face, with blue energy swirls around him.

    I’m a geek. I know.
