That was a much more dramatic break, though. Split the frame right in two!

Also, I doubt it would have been worth it to have Dad take this bike to work to weld it back together.

I seem to remember something like that happening to a tricycle coasting down a driveway on Falaise St. at CFB Petawawa, about 1980.

i hope this is the correct avenue for comment...

i just wanted to let you know that your article on jury selection [re: pickton's case in february] was very well written. i read it today while looking through all of the articles on pickton. i took criminal justice and public policy at the university of guelph and your article summed up a 3 hour lecture i had on the topic of jury selection. i just wanted to let you know that it was a very good overview and average joe canadian will easily understand the system after having read it. good on you.

p.s. [forgive me for my lower case e.e. cummings style].

Aah, the toilet seat! Someday, they'll make "That 2000s Show" and one of the characters will never be seen without her raspberry iBook, carrying it around like a lunchbox.

On a quasi-related note, a CP photo search for 'iBook' brings up maybe four non-MacBook photos, all of which involve Steve Jobs looking as though he's about to burst into song. It's creepy.

And one of the pictures is of an old-school (iMac-style) iBook. The caption says it's from the time when they came in either 'tangerine' or 'blueberry.'

Yar.

Glad to see some people having success. I am used to reports from mates in the 7/10 range.

I'd hate to make the quizzes a total challenge and feel that most people would do poorly (especially on a Friday when they typically go up).

usually in the 10 questions there are a handful of dead gimmies and a couple of "tougher" ones but many of the questions will include an answer or two that are obviously wrong to help improve the chances for a good guess.

not that there is a science to it.

and I'd also say that the internet levels the nerd playing field (particularly when it comes to writing a quiz about a topic beyond my ken). I'm certainly less nerdy in real life.

Yeah, you can guess at some of the answers. The writers get cheeky sometimes.
